There was a savannah in Northern Africa, which was inhabited by many animals. There were the hippos, the wildebeests, the ostrich, the zebras, the tigers, the monkeys, and the snakes.
The cheetahs and lions were at the top of the list. Their were two animals, Cody the cheetah, and Alex the lion, who wanted to be the king of the jungle. The two constantly were fighting for rule over the animals.
One cool, winter night, at the break of dawn, Alex’s wife hears a high-pitched screech of fear and terror. She senses one of her cubs are in discomfort. She finds her three cubs have been taken, there is blood all over the dirt. In the distance of the beige, tall grass, she sees the back of a male cheetah, but not just any cheetah, Cody the cheetah.
"Oh, no! Alex, wake up! Our babies are gone. Look, it is Cody running away with our three cubs. Look, Alex, look!"
"Nobody messes with my boys unless they get through me! Oh how sorry that fast cat will be. he has no idea what he put himself into."
Alex kept his word, and the next day, he stalked Cody’s every move. He lurked in the shadows of the trees and tall pieces of grass. At noon that day, Alex decided he was hungry for some lunch, so as he got closer and closer to Cody, out of nowhere, he pranced on him.
“Revenge, a dish best served rare,” he said, licking the edge of his mouth, and he fell asleep.
