Thinking back to the war, I remember some good times. Times such as the boy with the chocolate bar, relax in our down time, and playing our little games. Though there was these happy moments, I can't forget about the bad ones.
We were assigned a Vietnamese man who is an expert in finding mines. He helped guide us through the dangerous mine fields. We quite liked him. We even called him poppa-san.
With all our playing around we did in our youth during the war, the incident with Lavender's orphan dog and Azar. Azar blamed him blowing up the dog on his own youth. Quite a story to remember, sometimes reminding me of the many deaths in war.
