  • Hi I'm the main character Mathilde Loisel!
  • Inciting Incident
  • I have absolutely nothing to wear
  • I'll buy you a new dress!
  • Rising Action
  • Pick any jewel you want.
  • Omg thank you so much these are beautiful!
  • The Main Character of the story is Mathilde Loisel a selfish rich girl who believes she deserves to get whatever she wants. Her husband was the one who always tried to keep her happy thought the worse of moments. They live in France.
  • Climax
  • OMG the necklace is gone.
  • It all started when Mathilde Loisel was whining to her husband that she didn't have anything to wear to a fancy party she was invited to. So he ends up buying her a new dress for her and suggesting she borrow some jewelry from her rich friend Madame Forestier.
  • Falling Action
  • In this scene Mathilde went to her rich friend Madame Forestier's house where she ends up borrowing a fancy Diamond Necklace
  • Resolution
  • Are you kidding me!
  • I'm sorry to tell you this but the original was fake.
  • Mathilde went to the party showing off the necklace when once she was on her way out she looks in the mirror and screams noticing that the Diamond Necklace was no longer around her neck.
  • Mathilde had to replace the necklace without Forestier knowing and worked for 10 years to pay it off. She had to exit that fabulous life and end up living in a attic. Her husband had have 2 jobs and Mathilde had to take care of the house  and buy the groceries and work.
  • How did my life turn out this way.
  • Mathilde lastly when she was walking along the Paris streets ended up spotting Forestier. When she walked up to her she wasn't recognized and once she told Madame Forestier the truth, Madame said that the original necklace was a fake.
