  • During the 1750s and 1760s mostly Britain and the colonists fought.
  • What are you doing past your curfew.
  • Umm well.
  • The Quartering Act
  • Even if we repealed the law we still think its right to tax you.
  • The Stamp Act
  • It was never fair in the first place that we had to get taxed. This is just who we are (colonists).

  • The Boston Massacre
  •  As a result in 1765 a new law was called the Quartering Act because it ordered the colonists to provide. The colonist were angry about the Quartering act.They didn't want to pay for the British troops staying in the colonies.
  • The Boston Tea Party
  • In 1765 Parliament had a new law that was passed ,the Stamp Act. In October 1765 nine of the colonists sent delegates to a meeting in New York called the Stamp Act Congress. In 1766 Parliament repealed the law, still Parliament believed it was right to tax the colonists.
  • The Intolerable Acts
  • On March 5,1770 the bad feeling in Boston erupted in violence.The colonist called the event the Boston Massacre. A silversmith named Paul Revere pictured the event in graving .
  • To save the company Parliament passed the Tea Act in 1773. December 16 ,1773 a group of men dressed up as Native Americans and climbed aboard to sea ships in the Boston Harbor.There they split 90,000 pounds of tea into the water.
  • On September 1774 leaders from 12 colonies gathered in Philadelphia to discuss the problems with Britain. Trade ships were forbidden to enter or leave the harbor until the lost tea was paid for. Also the angry delegates agreed to fight the Boston Port Act and the Intolerable Act.
  • Don't you think all these acts are not fair.
  • These chairs are not even comfortable.
