Now how did we pass the constitution and how do we amend it?? Let me explain
In order for the constitution to go into effect 9/13 states had to ratify it.
Ratification Process
Ratify- sign or give formal consent to making it officially valid
Amendments may be proposed either by the congress, through a joint resolution by a 2/3 vote
Amending process
Two ways:
By a convention called by congress in response to applications from 2/3 of the state legislatures
