$2000 just got transferred to my credit card account. You won't believe the new items I've bought.
Hey Sarah, heard you got the newest iPhone XS max, how'd you afford that?
during lunch ...
You need to chill Ellie, I'm working all these shifts at Kmart. Just focus on a present for Jen's 16th birthday.
Sarah, how do you pay your bills and the interest on your credit card? Aren't you scared you're going to be in debt with the amount of things you buy?
Omg, look at this shirt, isn't it just the perfect present?
Pretty expensive present! Those shirts cost $130. Jen's present from me are these just as cute but affordable denim jeans.
Hm your friend's transaction isn't going through, sorry but I think your cards been cancelled.
at the register ...
What do you mean? Huh, I'm pretty sure it was working fine yesterday.
Just these two please, the shirts for my friend here.
at Sarah’s house ...
This letter says that the interest on my credit card is through the roof, if I don’t pay it, I’ll be sent to court. I’m in debt Ellie.
Don’t stress Sarah, I hate to say I told you so, but I saw this one coming. Next week we will visit a financial advisor and get this mess sorted.
oh no, oh no!
Sarah, obviously you can’t keep on going like this. I know your upset but your going to have to listen to me. When it comes to spending, I think to myself for example: if I save $30 a week for a year from my wage, I’ll be able to save up for whatever it is I want. And if I save another $20 a week for3 weeks, I’ll have enough money to buy Jen a present for her birthday.
Ellie’s got a point ... I could save money for more important things ... Although I probably can’t afford that shirt for Jen now.
dont stress Sarah, I hate to say I told you so, but I saw this one coming. Tomorrow we will visit a financial advisor and get this mess sorted.
