Storyboard Text

  • A new worker bee will help the young in their first weeks.
  • Beebread
  • Male bee
  • Queen bee
  • Male bee
  • The queen bee mates with male bees to produce eggs.
  • Worker bees maintain the hive, which means that they clean it, care for the young, and they collect food for the hive.
  • The last part of the honeybees journey is the most dangerous. They will leave the hive to go forage for pollen, and nectar. They are sometimes killed by other animals and pesticides.
  • They're many different pollinators in the world including butterflies and humming birds, but honey bees pollinate about 90% of the worlds crops. So thank you honey bees!
  • The other bees are worker bees
  • Thank you for reading this (not very entertaining) comic strip!
