This storyboard does not have a description.
Hi there class. Today we are going to learn about ecosystems.
An ecosystem is a community made up of animals and plants that interact together.
Abiotic is a nonliving factor like rain, sunlight, soil and temperature. Biotic is a living factor like animals, bacteria, and plants.
An ecosystem has abiotic and biotic factors that help the ecosystem survive and thrive.
Everything in an ecosystem has a job, for example, a plant is a producer, which makes food and oxygen for animals.
Animals are known as consumers, they cannot make food for themselves, so they eat plants or other animals to survive. They also produce carbon dioxide to help plants live.
Finally, decomposers break down dead plants and animals into nutrients for soil. Decomposers include fungus, mushrooms, and bacteria. Well there you have it, these are the things that make up an ecosystem. Pop quiz time class!
