Storyboard Text

  • Exposition: House next to the river that divides New Hampshire and Vermont. Its late August in the summer. The Narrator lives here and he likes Sheila Mant, the next door neighbor. 
  • Rising Action: The narrator asks Shelia Mant  out to a concert and they go there on a canoe. On their way Shelia says she hates fishing. After that he hooks the biggest bass he had ever seen. 
  • Climax: The narrator decides to cut the line because Sheila says that she dosent like fishing. 
  • Falling Action: After they dance a little bit in the concert Sheila decides to leave in Eric Caswells corvette but before leaving she tells the narrator that he is a funny kid. 
  • Your a funny kid
  • Resolution: There would be other Sheila Mants and other fish in the narrators life. He never made the same mistake again. 
  • Conflict:1. man vs himself: The narrator likes Shelia Mant and wants to be with her.2. man vs man: The narrator is fighting against the fish trying to not make Shelia notice.
