  • Dismantle the statue and bring it to Rome I want my head on it!!
  • Emperor Caligula wanted the statue himself because Rome beat Greece in the Olympic games. Fortunately Emperor Caligula was killed before this demand was met so the statue was safe.
  • Many things in honor of Zeus became less important because they were part of Pagan practices. Many people were also persecuted because of continuing Pagan practices.
  • ATTENTION!!! Christianity will now be the official religion of the Roman empire
  • Since Zeus was part of Pagan practices they closed the temple where he was located. Experts don't know exactly what happened to the glorious masterpiece, everyone believes something different happened.
