This story takes place in a small lakeside town in Michigan. The boys of the town played baseball a lot. They played it in a field, with balls made of twine and rubber. The field was along the beach and the hissing waves brought a whistling breeze.
-Climax- Shago's glasses

Tthe best baseball player of all the boys was Shago. He was fast, agile, and strong. He had eagle eyes and was lean sharp as a knife. He was always the first one picked for the team.
-Falling Action- No school
Don't you want to go to school?
Shago noticed that the sunset was odd one day, so as the boys were playing baseball, he stopped the game and ran to the beach. one of the boys said that it was a red sunset, which meant a good day the next day. but Shago said that it was a blood sun, which meant it was a dangerous night, and bad days ahead.
Don't you want to play baseball?
We can't Shago! It's nighttime!
Shago started loosing his sight, so he got glasses. he couldn't pitch ball, or catch the ball so the quit playing. he had become tame as a lamb. The boys he played with made fun of him about his glasses, so he only wore them on his way home.

The nuns that taught the children of the town told shagos mother that she didn't need to send Shago to school anymore for studying, but just to listen. Shago started working for a fisherman.
The boys were standing by the candy store, when Shago came. in his hand were five baseballs. The baseballs were very tightly wound , but round as any other baseball. he asked if they boys wanted to play base ball, but he couldn't tell it was nightime. Shago had gone blind as a bat.
