  • Stephen Douglas 
  • Douglas introduced a bill to set up a government in Nebraska and the territory would be organized by popular sovereignty. Also, he split the state, Kansas and Nebraska, The act repealed the Missouri Compromise
  •  Popular sovereignty is when the majority of the people decide what they want 
  • What?
  • The act took place in Kansas and Nebraska, but was made by Douglas and passed by Congress! Popular sovereignty took place in any area that dealt with the issue of slavery.
  • Where?
  • This act is horrible and quiet frankly annoying, the Missouri compromise was supposed to be a binding agreement, and everybody wad happy!
