The Estates Generals' meeting was held after 175 years of not having one. Back in the day, there was a big financial crisis (money problems) and the Third Estate got so tired of it. One by one, each estate would have a vote.
The March on Versailles

The Tennis Court Oath is when all of the Third Estates come together to make a pledge. They were now the "National Assembly." They would stop meeting each other until they got the Constitution of 1791.
Reign of Terror

With the King threatening to take military action against them, the National assembly chose to storm to the royal prison of the Bastille, as it being the symbol of royal power. The National Assembly then freed 7 prisoners and collected weapons, along with gunpowder.
Rise of Napolean
During the women's march, they decided to go complain to the king. All the women wanted was just equality and bread to feed their family. Later on, king Louis XVI promised to go back to Paris with them and became imprisoned in the palace of Tulleries.
Terror was used to control the country. This idea came from Robespierre. The guillotine was used as the symbol of terror, which was used to cleanly cut off peoples head who made a treason the the republic.
