Jenna Boller was a young teenage girl that worked for a shoe company owned by Madeline Gladstone in Chicago, Illinois. Mrs. Gladstone was a very sweet lady but had a few problems going on.
Mrs. Gladstone had hip problems which caused her to be able to do less things with the shoe company. Her son, Elden, wanted to take over the shoe company so it can become more succesful. Mrs. Gladstone did not find that as a good idea.
Jenna and Mrs.Gladstone were staying at a hotel in Texas for a few weeks because Madeline had to check up on a few of her shoe stores there and she also had an important meeting. Elden had a shown up to her hotel begging her to allow him to take over the business which lead to Mrs.Gladstone being angry at him.
The day of the important meeting came and Mrs.Gladstone and Alice were allowed into the building although Jenna wasn't. Elden had came up to Jenna from the outside and told her that she is fired from assisting Mrs.Gladstone. Jenna was angry and then tired to find a way into the building as soon as Elden had walked away.
At the meeting, Jenna brought up that she would rather have Mrs.Gladstone still be a part of the company rather that Elden fully taking in charge. All the members at the meeting agreed and then it became official.
Jenna comes back home from Texas with Mrs.Gladstone very relieved. Jenna can now finally catch up with her family. Mrs.Gladstone is still part of company with her son.
