  • Myth: Viewing creativity as a form of genius and that works best with advanced students.Teacher assigns creative projects to only a few advanced students because she feels that some students are not ready for this kind of thinking and should focus on basic skills.
  • Every student should be given the opportunity to work in creative projects. All students can learn to use their imagination, generate new ideas, and solve problems when working together. "Creativity is a Team Sport" as David Burkus describes in Myths of Creativity.
  • In order to become successful in today's world, students must master teamwork , leadership, communication, adaptability, problem solving, inquiry,  and decision making.  Working in collaborative projects enhances these skills.
