You won't foreclose our land!
Delegates from each state met in Philadelphia in 1787 to discuss how to improve and make the Articles of Confederation better.
Result of Shay's Rebellion
As a result from the convention, a new form of government was created. It had three branches. They were the Executive branch, the Legislative branch, and the Judicial branch.
Massachusetts tried to get rid of its debt by raising tax on property. Daniel Shay got people together so that they could close the courts, and the state wouldn't be able to foreclose their land. Eventually Shay and his followers were stopped
Since this event was a national embarrassment, it resulted in leaders calling for a stronger central government. This resulted in the Constitutional Convention.
