Oh my God! He did it. Dean killed himself. I can't believe this. No!!!
This is so hard I don't know what to do anymore. Dean and I both wanted to die ourselves but both of us didn't want each other to die.
Hey it's okay. He did the right thing. He's a good guy.
I'm in love with Colter but I hate him too. Colter did this. He told my parents I am suicidal. He said he would never tell.
Dean ends up committing suicide. Ellery is deeply affected by this and begins to understand how Colter must have felt when he lost his brother.
I love you Colter. I can't thank you enough for what you did.
I wouldn't have been the same without you. My whole life would have been changed and defined by that one moment where you chose pain over life.
Dean's death has a great impact on Ellery and she is very traumatized that Dean committed suicide. When she found out Dean was suicidal she always made sure Dean was at school and when he wasn't, she would go past his dad's ice cream shop to check if Dean was still alive.
Colter ends up telling Ellery's parents that Ellery is suicidal. Ellery is admitted to the hospital where she is placed in therapy to get better. She is mad at Colter that he let out her secret but she loves him because he saved her. Jackson visits Ellery and they have a talk.
