  • Antigone tries to convince her sister, Ismene, to help her bury their dead brother, Polynieces. Ismene is too scared, his burial has been outlawed by king Creon.
  • Climax
  • She doesn't feel the need to respect man law, only divine law and since Zeus didn't ban his burial, Antigone disregards the law and gives her brother a proper burial. 
  • Falling Action
  • So much death
  • Antigone was caught by a guard at her brother's illegal burial site and was brought to king Creon.
  • Conclusion
  • "Aii Aii" (1413)
  • Antigone was sentenced to death by Creon. She accepts this fate, however, the citizens of Thebes don't believe her sentence is fair.
  • "Don't speak of her being here. Her life is over" (560)
  • Antigone killed herself in her cell. Haemon killed himself because his wife Antigone died. Eurydice, Haemon's mother, kills herself because her son died
  • King Creon has no one left, everyone is dead and he is all alone and miserable.
