  • Galileo Galilei was an Italian astronomer, physicist and engineer, sometimes described as a polymath. His achievements include improvements to the telescope and consequent astronomical observations. Galileo inspired the field of science by his discoveries providing the evidence to support the theory that the earth and other planets revolved around the sun.
  • Nicolaus Copernicus was a Renaissance-era mathematician and astronomer who formulated a model of the universe that placed the Sun rather than the Earth at the center of the universe. One of Copernicus biggest accomplishments was His model of the universe as revolving around the sun, called the heliocentric theory. One of the most important contributions of Copernicus was to the field of astronomy. Copernicus placed the sun at the center of the universe, rather than the earth.
  • Louis Pasteur was a French biologist, microbiologist and chemist renowned for his discoveries of the principles of vaccination, microbial fermentation and pasteurization.world-renowned French chemist and biologist,Pasteur's scientific and medical accomplishments include cure for rabies, anthrax, chicken cholera, and silkworm diseases. He also contributed towards developing the first vaccines and provided logical grounds for fermentation and brewing.
  • Robert Boyle FRS was an Anglo-Irish natural philosopher, chemist, physicist, and inventor. Boyle is largely regarded today as the first modern chemist.Boyle's Law for which he remains most famous. This states that if the volume of a gas is decreased, the pressure increases proportionally. Understanding that his results could be explained if all gases were made of tiny particles.
  • Marie Skłodowska Curie was a Polish and naturalized-French physicist and chemist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. Her contributions such as the discovery of Radium and other key elements help us out every day, especially when getting an x-ray.For their joint research into radioactivity, Marie and Pierre Curie were awarded the 1903 Nobel Prize in Physics. As a team, the Curies would go on to even greater scientific discoveries.
