  • Listen Janie I you aren't good enough I need you too do this or we are through
  • Fine but when will you let me do what I want to do!
  • Leaving Logan and Meeting Jody Starks
  • Hey Janie my name is Joe Starks nice to meet you I will be the new mayor.
  • Hey I am Janie, I'll call you Jody. Are you new around here?
  • Logan Killocks is a financially sound man. Janie's grandma wants Janie to marry a man that will be able to support Janie financially. This shows that Janie is from a family that doesn't believe in her and her choices. It shows that the family or Nanna in general wants to choose her life instead of Janie finding her way.
  • The Ending of Jody and Janie
  • Logan Killocks was a very controlling person who didn't know how to create a good relationship. All Janie wants is a relationship that she can express herself and not feel controlled by a male. She is getting tired of Logan Killocks controlling and emotionally abusive personality to the point where she wants to leave the relationship.

  • Who is this young stud.? He is charming, helpful, and full of life.
  • Janie finally leaves Logan after he threatens to kill her. Janie meets Jody Starks a very rich man who moved to Eatonville. Jody becomes the richest, biggest landowner, storekeeper and mayor of Eatonville. Janie believes that Jody will be someone she can live with freely but soon finds out that he needs control or mayhem will follow. Janie is forced to do many things until Jody gets sick...

  • Jody and Janie's marriage was destined to end. With the controlling personality of Jody and the free minded woman's rights personality of Janie. Janie after Jody dies felt horrible and unsettled. She felt as if he didn't deserve this and feels sorry for him and for her.
  • I am so sorry Jody. I have lost interest in you. You have not helped me but yet hurt me more.
  • Cough, Cough! I am going to die. I am sick and old and have nothing to live for anymore.
  • Tea Cake is Janie's first true love. He is much younger than her, and gives Janie the chance to esperience new things in life. Tea Cake does hit Janie but Janie feels as if it's love still. Tea Cake is a symbol of success. He has brought Janie's puzzle of a life together and Janie has a clear plan of what she believes.
  • My name is Tea Cake. I think you are beautiful. Can we get to know eachother?
  • Janie is forced to kill Tea Cake after he has gotten the rabies disease. After his death Janie is devastated but feels a sense of freedom and a sense of determination. She knows she can do anything she wants and will follow her dream.
