Vesalius attended University of Paris so that he could study "Galenism." While digging deeper into the anatomy he realized Galen's ideas were wrong. He proceeded to transfer to University of Padua to prove his own theories.
Andreas Vesalius was born on December 31, 1514 and lived for 50 years until he died on October 15, 1564

Vesalius was the first to dissect a human body, because it was illegal. He took dead criminal bodies to examine.
Vesalius worked hard to prove Galen wrong, which was very hard to do because it has been taught and the upper class does not like to be proven wrong. He made sketches to back his ideas.
Discovered Galen based human anatomy off animals such as dogs since it was banned to disturb dead humans.
