Beowulf- Grendel's Mother

Beowulf Grendel's mother has taken a dear friend of ours. "Our only help, Again, lies with you."(443-444)
Okay, I will go and defeat her and gain even more fame!
So Beowulf swam down to the bottom of the lake to face Grendel's Mother
"Grendel's mother is hidden in her terrible home, in a place you've not seen. Seek it if you dare!"(444-446)
He swam down to the depths and "Then he saw the mighty water witch and swung his sword,"(474-475) but it wasn't enough and it broke in half.
Beowulf was in trouble as many other sea monsters also joined in on the fight almost killing him.
Beowulf then lifted the sword and struck the monsters down killing them.
"Then he saw, hanging on the wall, a heavy sword, hammered by giants, strong and blessed with their magic,"(513-515)
Beowulf then hunted down the already dead body of Grendel and "then struck off his head with a single blow."(543-544)
He sought Hrothgar to salute him and show Grendel's head. He carried that terrible trophy by the hair and brought it straight to where they sat."(600-603) Beowulf had freed the Danes from all of the monsters.
