  • The Algonquin's mostly hunted, fished, and gathered food such as seeds, wild rice, and berries. The word Algonquin means "A place for spearing fishes and eels."
  • Their houses are wigwams, made of birch bark and hides. They spoke French, English, and Algonquin
  • They fought with the Iroquios, and are related to the Ojibway and the Otawa tribes.
