1828-South Carolina Nullification South Carolina thought that if a state found a federal law unconstitutional they could nullify it. And as far as South Carolina was concerned,the tariff didn't exist. So the military was called and they lost.
Our state can nullify a law if it's unconstitutional!
1830- Worcester vs Georgia This case was about the conviction of Samuel Worcester and held that Georgia's law that prohibited non Native American's from entering Native American territory was unconstitutional.
