  • The Spanish Armada set  sail form Spain in July1588.
  • The Spanish Armada's task was to over throw Protestant England lead by  Queen Elizabeth I.
  • They sailed late. Instead of sailing in April of 1587they hit a terrible storm, sending 100s of their ships to be repaired.
  • The Spanish Armada was important because, they attempted to keep their Catholic religion.
  • The Spanish Armada failed to overthrow the English and  Queen Elizabeth II. Some say the had bad weather and bad sailors.
  • Religious problems they had  were trying to defend their religion causing them to go to war and causing controversy between the Catholics and the Spanish.
