  • From my experience in doing it, it seemed pretty easy. What do you need help in?
  • Bro I'm taking the SAT soon to apply to university but there's this one topic I can't seem to understand
  • Oh thatttttt, I haven't practiced in a while but I'll try my best to explain
  • Yea you're smart I get it. Just help me with the sine, cosine, and tangent stuff!
  • So basically sine, cosine, and tangent are trigonometric functions which are functions of a single angle in a right triangle that relate to the length of its sides. So if you were to have a triangle with a 30 degree angle meeting at the horizontal and one known side you can almost definitely know all three sides using sine, cosine, and tangent
  • Yes that's correct the functions can only be used in right triangles because they correlate with trigonometry mainly in right triangles
  • So wait you can't use them on any triangle, they have to be right triangles?
  • Oh wait I almost forgot about sohcahtoa which is something really important you need to know so a is adjacent, o is opposite, and h is hypotenuse. Soh is sine o over h, cah is cosine which's a over h., and toa is o over a, You need to know this pneumonic to know how they relate to the sides
  • Is that everything I need to know because you said a lot of information.
  • My pleasure to help bro, and yea I think we should go to class!
  • Yo thanks that helped a lot, I'm pretty sure I couldn't have learned that alone. Anyways I think the bell rang we better get a move on
