  • Jack London shows the theme you must overcome obstacles in life to survive and be successful using Character vs. Self. He is sad that his mom was traded by Grey Beaver, but is able to overcome the sadness.
  • London used character vs. society to show the theme in White Fang, White Fang hates the dogs and he hates them back. He is shunned by society and overcomes this by getting taken away from the other dogs
  • London shows the theme with the conflict character vs. character, because White Fang adapts and survives while with Beauty Smith. He is able to hold on until Weedon Scott saves him, which shows him overcoming another obstacle.
