How Stars Die (Creation Myth)
This storyboard does not have a description.
You're light shines bright, but my Stars are brighter!
Long ago, all the stars in the sky shined equal and bright in the heavens. They were created by Moon himself, jealous of the Sun's powerful rays.
The people of the land found the creation of stars most helpful, they would use the stars to travel in the nights. They began to worship the Stars and the Moon.
Please Sun, I need your help!
With his new found praise, Moon began to develop stronger powers. He decided to visit Sun and taunt her. Stunned by his new powers, Sun retreated into darkness, removing her light in one sweep motion.
With Sun gone, Moon now controlled all 24 hours to himself. The people started to fear the darkness for that long, so Moon created a new Star, one that shined the brightest in all the heavens, he named her North. Her light calmed the people once again.
One Star, so moved by envy, decided to look to Sun for help. She looked all through the heavens until she found her in a weak and ghostly state. She begged Sun to help her be as beautiful and bright as North. Sun used the last of her power to grant the naive star her wish.
The young star did return to Moon to show him her new beauty. As she was showing herself off, her body began to burn until she exploded. She was consumed by her envy and one by one all the other stars would too. Sun had cast a curse on the stars that one day they would be consumed by their envy for North and destroy themselves.
