  • Nitrogen Starts Forming in the roots and then goes into the soil
  • The ammonium then turns into nitrite by having oxygen added.
  • By adding more oxygen to the Nitrite you can turn it into nitrate, this is called nitrification.
  • The nitrates then goes through assimilation
  • Assimilation is when the nitrate is up rooted by plants and used for protein synthesis, then being eaten by animals.
  • Plants and animals go through the food chain and decompose and release ammonium into the soil.
