Federalists were in favor of the Constitution and a strong government. They were also in favor of a national bank. Their leaders were John Adams, George Washington, Benjamin Frankin, John Jay, and Alexander Hamilton.
Anti-federalists didn't want the Constitution. They did not want a national bank or a strong National Government. They were usually farmers and merchants. They're leaders were Thomas Jefferson, Samuel Adams, Patrick Henry, George Mason, Edmond Randolph, and Elbridge Gerry.
The Anti-federalists wanted a Bill of Rights. A bill of rights is a legal declaration of rights and rules. This gave the US citizens freedom of assembly, speech, and worship. It was the first 10 amendments of the Constitution.
