Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Will it happen today?
  • It's stopping, it's stopping!
  • Conflict
  • What're you looking at?
  • What're you waiting for?
  • Rising Action
  • Ready, children?
  • Yes!
  • Help!
  • The children were gathered in the class room. They were all waiting for the rain to finally stop and the sun to come out. Margot was waiting with them, the only student who remembered what the sun looked like.
  • Climax
  • Oh, it's better than the sun lamps, isn't it?
  • Much, much better!
  • A boy named William often lead a charge against Margot. He was jealous, like the rest of the kids, because Margot came from Earth, and remembered a different climate from rain. It lead to William and the other children calling her a liar.
  • Falling Action
  • Oh, oh.
  • Oh, look, look.
  • The children locked Margot in a closet because of her 'lies', before the teacher had come to find them. The students all showed respect to the teacher as she was prepared to take them all outside. They were far enough that Margot could not be heard.
  • Resolution
  • Well?
  • The rain had stopped. The children were shocked at first, but soon enough were running through the newly reformed plant life. They made noises and shrieks of joy. All were in awe at the sun, and played as long as they could.
  • However, after an hour, the children witnessed the rain begin again. They felt grief, but took off running, returning to the tunnel to reach shelter. Thunder boomed overhead, giving the group a more powerful drive.
  • The children rushed inside. By then, they realized that they had left Margot in the the closet. Guilt raked their faces, each one looking hesitant. Eventually, a girl encouraged the rest on, and they slowly let Margot out.
  • Go on.
