Stanza 2: Two sisters, Lizzie and Laura, hear the cries of the goblin men, "Come buy!" Laura is intrigued by the goblins, whereas Lizzie warns her sister that they are dangerous and so proceeds to run from them.
Stanza 3: Laura shows her intrigue for the goblin men after her sister runs away. Her innocence is also described through similes. "Like a lily from the beck."
