  • French Revolution :Introduction
  • Factors that led to the revolution
  • Meeting of the Estates General
  • The French revolution happened in 1789-1799. Period when the common people of France stood up to the their unfair government.
  • The Tennis Court Oath
  • Growing resentment among lower classes was one factor that lead to the French Revolution. New Ideas about government, serious economic problems, weak leadership, and food shortages were other factors.
  • The Storming of the Bastille
  • Estates- General was an assembly of representatives from all three estates. Each estates got only one vote. The people were made with the unfair voting. 
  • The Great Fear
  • The newly formed National Assembly had been locked out of the room. They broke into the tennis court and pledged to stay if change didn't happen.
  • On July 14, 1789 members of the Third Estate strormed the Prison. They were looking for gun powder. Afterwards they paraded around with the heads of the dead men.
  • Period were peasants raided and became outlaws. They broke into the manors of nobles while being armed.They burned houses and important documents.
