  • Women's March on Versailles
  • Declaration of the Rights of Man
  • Reign of Terror
  • Women were marching over the rising price on bread. They wanted the National Assembly to take action to provide bread and to bring bring back Louis and Antoinette to Paris.
  • Execution of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette
  • The Declaration of the Rights of man granted citizens equal justice, freedom of speech and freedom of religion. "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity," was the slogan. Women's rights were rejected.
  • Rise of Napoleon
  • Period of time when Maximilien Robespierre ruled. Many people where beheaded at the time for no logical reason.
  • Fall of Napoleon
  • Louis XVI was found guilty of treason. He was beheadon on January 21, 1793 and Marie Antoinette died on October 16, 1793.
  • Napoleons troops seized the national legislature and made himself first consul. He introduced the Napoleonic Code and later made himself emperor.
  • Napoleons biggest mistake in his career was trying to invade Russia. His soldiers were exhausted, hungry, and cold. The blockade was not a good idea. Britain later made their own blockade.
