  • Exposition
  • Rising Action
  • Climax
  • He knew it was wrong, the whole thing. The thing with her. He was fully aware of how he should not want this. He should want his wife and his family. He should want them and only them, like nothing else matters. But everything else matters.
  • Falling Action
  • As soon as he leaves her small Manhattan apartment and takes the train home to his family, the feeling of rebellion is gone. It fades into nothingness, almost like it never happened. Guilt sometimes sinks in, and on this particular night the guilty feeling was ovewhelming.
  • Falling Action
  • When he kissed his wife as he walked inside his home, he imagined it was the woman from Manhattan, and her bright red lips. Guilt continued to eat away at him, until he told his wife his wrongdoings. She watched her face turn into complete disgust, and she turned away from him.
  • Resolution
  • He had never really regarded his daughter until that night. If she were ever to find out, that was when he would break. She was the most intimidating person he had ever met. All children were.
  • The man took one last look of what he was saying goodbye to. The image of his wife overflowing with tears, though she was trying to hold them back, was what really pushed him to begin walking to the train station.
  • He had no way of explaining why he was with the woman in the city, and why he did things with her. He did not know how to explain in words, only in his feelings. It was desire.
