Storyboard Text

  • Introduction
  • Murder Background
  • Interview
  • Ben was a junior at ICS and known for being an athletic and studious student. However, he felt stressed by the expectations and ended up depressed. Soon, he turned to drug usage but ended up owing his drug dealer some money.
  • Investigation
  • On the night of the murder, Ben struggled to finish his homework so he decided to prepare for bed. As he lay on the cold hard bed, a shadowed figure slowly approached Ben while he was asleep and slashed him on his throat. When the police found his body, half of his face was missing.
  • Investigation
  • As we interviewed some suspects who were on the 6th floor that night, one interview stood out. Ms. Waymire was very defensive of herself and called out the other 2 suspects as well. Her answers given to the questions also lacked confidence and she stuttered a lot.
  • Conclusion
  • As our investigation team searched the dorm room, the crime scene, there was packs of drugs, dirty track shoes, coke cans, etc. The most helpful piece of evidence we found was a long, sharp, needle covered in blood which we believed to be the murder weapon.
  • It was impossible to find fingerprints on the needle handle since it was rough all over, we had no choice but to search all over for other clues. As we dusted the coke cans, one of them had a different set of fingerprints than the others, and so we took the sample to be examined.
  • After the fingerprints have been examined, we knew who killed Ben. The murderer was, fortunately, not Ms. Waymire but the drug dealer that Ben owed money to. He was then arrested and pleaded guilty for murder and 1st degree felony for drug dealing.
