Storyboard Text

  • Ouch! Why did that apple fall to the ground and hit me?
  • I know! My study of gravity pulling the apple down, causing it to hit me!
  • Time travel is great! Who knew the Earth would explode without gravity?
  • So you're telling me I can make fire with friction? Science rocks!
  • By rubbing 2 sticks together, you can make a fire, with the help of course!
  • Stretchy! So this is how the genius found out how elasticity works!
  • So if I stretch  this and let it go, it will go back to what it looks like now, all thanks to my discovery-elasticity!
  • Sir Issac Newton was the first to make the discovery of Gravity. Gravity is a force that makes a person or object always fall to the ground. Gravity is the reason why the famous apple fell on his head while he was sitting under a tree. The way gravity works is there is either a push or pull.
  • Omg! Earth is a giant magnet!
  • Earth is made of a magnetic field, which is what makes a compass work!
  • Another force here on Earth is friction, that was discovered by Leonardo da Vinci and then rediscovered by Guillaume Amontons. Friction is the resistance and force between one object rubbing against another. In friction, opposites attract.
  • Time traveling was fun! Learning about the forces was interesting! Sadly, my trip end I must go back!
  • Another great force here on Earth is elasticity. Elasticity occurs when a material can stretch and can return to it's original form afterwards. Robert Hooke was a fierce competitor with Issac Newton to find answer about gravity, but when Newton beat him to finding answers, he became the first to discover and research elasticity.
  • There is no way to go back? What! Am I just going to die here! Time travel was still worth it anyway!
  • A magnet is a mineral that attracts different metals to it. The force the magnet uses is called magnetism. Magnetism is a force of nature and is all throughout the Earth. To have another magnetic object pulled towards the magnent with magnetism, they do not have to touch and will work over distance. The first to discover this was William Gilbert, an Englishmen.
  • Gilbert)Gravity, Friction, Elasticity, and Magnetism are all amazing forces. They are all forces of nature and are used everyday. Thanks to these geniuses (Newton, Hooke, Amontons, and Gilbert), our world is better and smarter today.
  • I forgot to mention- there is Zero gravity in space! Gravity only works on planets like Earth!
