Abigail is having a conversation with her uncle, Rev. Parris. She is telling him that her and Betty only danced in the woods.
Rev. Parris is listening to Abigail, but he does really believe her. He gives her multiple chances to tell the truth of what really happend.
Abigail is upset that her uncle thinks she did something to Betty. She says she would never hurt Betty. However, Betty is hurt right now.
