Storyboard Text

  • 1: Start/Beggining
  • Everyone loves the sun. It makes us warm, helps us see, and keeps our earth in orbit.
  •  But a frequent question is "what would happen if the sun went out?"  So I'll be going over the effects of a dead sun.
  • The sun is 8.5 light minutes away from earth. We are able to see the moon because the sun reflects off of the moon. Without the sun, the moon would become invisible to the naked eye.
  • Then on the other side of the world , the moon would become unnoticeable.
  • It would take about 9 minutes for us to notice the sun was out.
  • 2: 1st Chain Reaction
  • Within a week, the world temperature average would be below 0 degrees celsius.
  • By this time, the top layers of water bodies, like lakes, oceans, river, would have froze.
  • 3: 2nd Chain reaction
  • 4: 3rd Chain Reaction
  • Now the oceans, lakes, and other bodies of water have completely froze along with the atmosphere, allowing radiation to affect life on Earth.
  • In the next year without the sun the average temperature around the world would be -100 celsius. The next million years, the Earth would drop to a temperature of -400 celsius.
  • 5: 4th Chain Reaction
  • All the animals on Earth who have not adapted to the cold and the radiation from space would most likely perish.
  • With the sun "dead" there would be no natural photosynthesis, so trees would die, along with animals that need plants in their diet like humans.

  • Without the sun, life would prove to be impossible. With the temperature at -400 celsius, animals and humans will die. Humans would last about 10 years before all dying out to extinction
  • I would like to thank the sources at the top for providing lots of information for this project to happen.
