Look at this Joe I got this baseball for 20% off at Olympia.
Oh ya Drew that reminds me I have a quiz in math tomorrow on percent decrease and sale price and I really need some help before I take it.
Here, I will teach you how to find percent decrease and increase first. Work out the difference between the two numbers you are comparing to each other. Then you have to divide the decrease by the original number and multiply that answer by 100. If your answer is a negative number then this is a percent increase.
A baseball is $5 and it was on sale for $4. The percent decrease would be 20%.
That´s easy enough.
To find the sale price you subtract the discount price from the original price.
Alright that´s simple, you really know you´r math huh?
Yes, I do know my stuff, I´ll see if you do too. This baseball was five dollars and I got it for $4 what is the sale price?
The sale price would be one dollar. That´s to easy, I am definitely prepared.
