Storyboard Text

  • Hello
  • Welcome Back Students to an Exciting Day!!!!!
  • I cannot wait for science class!!!
  • Hi Mr. Wysocki
  • We have been learning about "rocks".  Today we will focus on Igneous Rocks
  • I love our "Rock" unit
  • Luckily we have Mr. Wysocki as our teacher.  He "rocks" it
  • An igneous rock is formed when molten rock within Earth cools and hardens.  There are two types: Intrusive and Extrusive
  • Intrusive Igneous rocks form from magma that hardens beneath Earth's surface.  Some key physical clues are that they have large crystals and are coarse-grained.
  • I cannot wait to do labs with this information
  • Me too.  I love labs.
  • Extrusive Igneous rocks form from lava that hardens on Earth's surface.  Some key physical clues are that they have small crystals, have a glassy texture, have holes, and are fine-grained.
  • So cool
  • I love science
  • Now we will be doing a hands-on lab with igneous rocks.  Your mission is to identify if it is an intrusive igneous rock or extrusive igneous rock.
  •  I love labs.
  • Me too.
