  • The United States refuses to sell war materials to Japan. In February of 1933, Japan decides to withdraw from the League of Nations
  • We will not sell to Japan
  • In March of 1933, Hitler Began to rebuild his army, and send it to the demilitarized Rhineland.The western nations appease Hitler, and allow him to  break the Treaty of Versailles.
  • In 1935, Italy took over the smaller country of Ethiopia. With Italy's advanced weapons, Ethiopia didn't stand a chance
  • In February of 1936, the U.S. passed the Neutrality Acts. This stated that warring countries can't buy guns or recieve loans, and Americans can't travel on ship of warring nations.
  • On August 23, 1939, Hitler and Stalin signed the non aggression pact. They agreed to not attack each other for ten years.
  • Deal
  • If you don't attack me, I wont attack you.
  • On December 7, 1941, The Japanese army surprise attacked the U.S.  This lead to America entering the war.
