  • I am looking forward to this parent teacher conference with Ms. Johnson!
  • Yes! I know that our dear child, Jay, is doing great in school.
  • I sure hope that this warm environment I have created makes the parents feel comfortable, must remember to smile!
  • Oh please, call us Tom and Lily. It is so nice to finally meet you Ms. Johnson.
  • Hello Mr. and Mrs. Douglas ! It is so great to see you, welcome to my classroom!
  • Yes, it is nice to put a face to the name since we have been communicating through email and phone calls so far this year.
  • I want to discuss this new app we are now using in school this year, called Pupil Asset. This will really help with communicating information about Jay. This is great not only for posting grades, assessments and school information, but also to keep track of his behavior.
  • So Lily and Tom, I want to see how you feel about our means of communication now.
  • Of course you still have our emails and phone numbers if there is every an issue with reaching us. Do you think that there are any strategies that we can use at home to help Jay with his literacy skills?
  • Now that you have showed us this new app, we feel comfortable using it for our primary means of communication.
  • These are great ideas Ms. Johnson. I would like to set a goal for Jay's literacy for our next parent teacher meeting.
  • Well, I would recommend story more story telling, also give him a larger selection of books to choose from to see what peaks his interest. In addition, reading out loud with Jay will help increase is fluency.
  • Wow, what a productive meeting! I feel much better about our communication, especially with this new app. I really appreciate the mission statement that Ms. Johnson gave us as well.
  • I am looking forward to returning to the school next Friday to observe the classroom. It will be good for me to take a first hand look at the classroom, and also for Jay to know that we are involved.
