Going into my first day of college, I did not know what to expect. I was nervous and scared, yet I also could not wait for my first day of school.
One of the main things I was afraid of was how hard it would be to meet new people and make new friends. There was only a handful of people I knew before I actually moved to San Diego, so I was pretty nervous.
I also did not know how I was going to feel about having such ginormous lectures in the large, theater-like auditoriums. I was afraid that I would just fall behind and not be able to ask the question I would have.
However, I then learned that not all of my classes would have hundreds of people in them. I would have several smaller classes that are very similar to my classes I took in high school, which would allow me easily meet new people.
Attending the Aztec Nights Events was another way for me to explore the large, intimidating campus as well as meet new people that I probably would not have talked to if I would have stayed in my dorm.
Luckily, I was able to get to know my roommates pretty well. All of us were able to go out and familiarize ourselves with the campus and explore. Now all of us are looking forward to what this next chapter of our lives has to offer.
