  • Act III Scene I The king and queen are standing in Elsinore and here come Rosencrantz, and Guildenstern to tell them what the found was wrong with prince Hamlet. Rosencrantz says " He does confess he feels himself distracted, But from what cause he will by no means speak." ( III.I. 5-6).

  • As Hamlet is standing mopping around his room, and still looking depressed. He thinks would it be better to live, or would it be better to die. "To be, or not to be, that is the question... The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons Be all my sins remembered" (III.I. 64-98).
  • Hamlet is speaking to all the players about the play that is going to take place, and then specifically talks to the 1st player if he can speak certain lines that hamlet wants to insert in the play
  • Polonius
  • Hamlet speaks to Horatio and tells him how great of a man he is, and how much he loves him, but all of this is just to ask Horatio for a favor. Hamlet asks Horatio to watch during the play the expressions and the way claudius reacts to the play.
  • As the play starts, claudius see's how the play is very similar to how he killed his own brother, so he made the people stop the play and he stormed off, and was angry. Leaves and as an aside he confesses to the murder, and although he feels guilty he can't be forgiven because he still has all the benefits of king, and even though Hamlet wants to kill him right now he thinks that he is praying and will go to heaven if he kills him during forgiveness.
  • Claudius
  • After the play the queen calls her son Hamlet into her room, "closet" and tries to figure out why he is acting so strange, he tells her the truth that Claudius killed his dad, and then in the back they hear something behind the curtain, hamlet in the moment thinks that it is Claudius so he goes and stabs the curtain, well it turns out it is poor Polonius.
