Storyboard Text

  • The King finds out his son is destined to destroy the kingdom and that he will die shortly after obtaining the throne. The King is overcome with anger. He views this as an insult towards him, his son, and his kingdom. He banishes the prophet from the city.
  • A day later, the King's son, Leo, is born. With the prophecy still on the Kings mind, he teaches Leo everything there is to being a good king and leader, and hopes that this will be enough. Leo grows up to be a good kid who is athletic, smart, and kind. The King believes he has done everything in his power to prevent this prophecy, but is still worried that it will somehow become true.
  • One day, the king becomes very sick. This sickness has never been seen before and is untreatable. Many months later, the King dies. Leo is next in line to receive the throne, and, while his father taught him everything there is to being a good leader. The King raises Leo to be loyal, honest, strong, and humble. However, he still poses one tragic flaw, greed.
  • As the new king, Leo's first action is overcome with greed, he wants to conquer neighboring kingdoms. He wants to have the largest kingdom to make his father proud. He sends his army to attack the nearest empire and force them to surrender everything they have to him.
  • Leo's army reaches the nearest kingdom, but only to be killed. This kingdom, overcome with anger, attacks Leo and his city. When the news reaches Leo, he is overcome with fear and realizes that he has made a terrible, irreversible mistake and will greatly hurt him in the future. But at the same time, he wonders what did he do wrong. He realizes what has caused this, but why it was wrong. After all, he only wanted to make his father proud.
  • Leo waits for the other army, and ultimately awaits his death. He realizes the mistakes he made, and that what he did was wrong. He accepts this, and is ready to receive the consequences of his actions. Finally, the army arrives. Without an army of his own, Leo tries to defend the city himself. However, it does not go well for him and he is killed.
