  • Haha we did it!
  • Whites Take a Stand
  • 'Twas scary man
  • Fort George was burned down, fires were lit elsewhere, like New Jersey and Long Island. In total there were four fires that day
  • A Claim
  • Haha I know things you don't!
  • After the fires, slaves started bragging that they lit the fires. Many white men overheard and claimed the slaves threatened even worse things
  • The Investigation
  • The white men decided that this was all planned by some secret black societies and gangs, inspired by the conspiracy of priests and Catholic minons
  • Aftermath
  • A 16 year old slave was in prison and claiming to know of a plot by the slaves to kill the white men, capture the white women and burn the city
  • People looked into this claim and it resulted in 30 black men, 2 white men, and 2 white women being executed
  • 70 African decent were sent away to far-flung places. Before the end of summer, 17 black men were to be hanged and 13 were to be sent to the stake
