Storyboard Text

  • During Ralph's meeting...
  • 5
  • It comes out of the sea.
  • 6
  • This would make an amazing fort!!
  • There's nothing up here Jack. No water, no food, no shelter, no anything. Let's head back.
  • While going up the mountain...
  • In 6, Jack, Ralph, and the hunters went up the mountain to try and find the beast, but half way through the trip, Ralph feels like they have to go back and make sure the camp is okay. When Ralph says "There's nothing up here Jack", Ralph feels like this is as far as then can go for today. This represents fear because Ralph thinks if they don't head back now, then the fire will go out and they will never get off the island.
  • In 5, Ralph has called a meeting to talk about how things are going and during this meeting, this kid brings up the beast again, but this time says that it is coming from the sea. When the kid says "It comes at of the sea", everyone starts to worry about the beast coming for them while they sleep. This represents fear because everyone is afraid of this beast, even though it might not even exist.
  • 7
  • I saw IT!!!
  • 8
  • We went up there and we saw the beast.
  • In 8, Jack calls a meeting to discuss what they saw up in the mountain, but at the same time, he decides to make fun of Ralph and calls him a coward. But, he also brings up the beast and says "We went up there and saw the beast". This represents fear because when he says this, everyone gets scared that the beast will come for them and they don't know what to do about.
  • In 7, Jack, Roger, and Ralph go up the mountain to go find the beast. Ralph and Roger take a break but Jack keeps going and then comes back saying "I saw the beast!" This represents the theme because after all of this time, they finally see the beast that they have been afraid of since the very beginning. When Jack told them what he saw, they got scared and when they got up there and actually saw the beast, they ran away in fear.
