In Act 1, the three witches introduced are the witches who will predict Macbeth(the main character)’s fate. Macbeth now holds the title Thane of Cawdor, just like as the witches predicted.
"From this moment the very firstlings of my heart shall be the firstlings of my hand." "But yet I'll make assurance double sure, and take a bond of fate." "The castle of Macduff I will surprise, give to the edge o' the sword his wife, his babies and all unfortunate souls that trace him in his line."
In Act 2, Macbeth lies to Banquo, he tells Banquo that he doesn't think of the witches predictions, but he really does. After Lady Macbeth's devilish plan of Macbeth killing King Duncan, he feels guilty after realizing the crime he committed. Lady Macbeth doesn't kill Banquo herself because she said he looks too much like her father.
"Out damned spot, out I say! All the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand."
"More needs she the divine than the physician!"
In Act 3,Macbeth believes Banquo,s descendants will benefit from Macbeth's work of becoming king. Macbeth hires two murderers to kill Banquo and Fleance. Banquo is killed, but Fleance got away. Macbeth isnt worried about Fleance until he has children in he future. Macduff wasn't at the banquet and Macbeth sees Banquo's ghost sitting in his seat at the table. Hecate wants the witches to trick Macbeth and destroy him.
In Act 4, Macbeth is shown his fate through apparitions and Macbeth sees Banquo and eight kings in a mirror. Macbeth believes he is cursed for trusting the witches. Macduff is in England helping Malcom. Macduff's family is killed due to descendants. Macduff fears for Scotland if Malcom were to become king.
In Act 5,The doctor and the gentlewoman see Lady Macbeth sleepwalking and talking about the murder, the doctor and gentlewoman decide to stay quiet about what they heard. Macbeth asked the doctor to cure Lady Macbeth. Macbeth wasn't very emotional, when he hears that Lady Macbeth dies. Macbeth tells Macduff he is guilty of killing Macduff's family. Macbeth's head is cut off and Malcom becomes king.
