Storyboard Text

  • King Lioas and Queen Jocasta learn the prophecy of their son. The prophecy was that he would kill the father and marry the mother.
  • Afraid of the prophecy coming true they sent him away to die in the woods
  • But the shepherd took pity on him and sent him to live with the king and queen of Corinthian
  • When Oedipus got older he unknowingly fulfilled his prophecy of killing his father and marring his mother
  • When Oedipus died Eteocles and Polyneice became king. They would in alternate years. Eteocles went first and didn't want to give up the power. Polyneice and came back with an army. During the war the brothers killed each other 
  • After the war ended Creon took over. Creon consider Polyneices a traitor and did not give him a proper burial. Because he was not given a proper burial there was conflict with Antigone.
